I was in the Mercer Island Band program for 8 years. The high school band was life-changing for me. The band program provided an array of experiences I genuinely believe no other program could have given me and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities I received due to each and every staff member on this team. Such a crucial part of my high school experience and it would be incredibly sad to see the school take away any staff - all are insanely important to the collaboration and success of the band program.
