Support Our Student Scholarships
The Mercer Island High School Band was invited to march in the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade for the first time in our school’s history. The MIHS band was one of six high school bands selected for this honor from across the country. It will be the first time any band from Washington State has participated in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in over 20 years.
We need community support to make this impressive honor a reality. For each of our nearly 300 students, it takes thousands of dollars to cover the cost of transportation, hotel, and food for a week in NYC. Student scholarships are essential to help those whose families are unable to cover all of these costs on their own.
